Bankruptcy Number: Methods to Obtain Information
In the US, every bankruptcy goes to a state bankruptcy court that generates a case number for it. These are also at times called bankruptcy records. These records are retrieved by businesses, shareholders, vendors, lending institutions and debtors.[br]
Bankruptcy Number: Methods to Obtain Information
Bankruptcy records can be retrieved through the following methods:
Bankruptcy Voice Case Information Systems (VCIS): You can call the VCIS number of the bankruptcy court. You will require the name, case number or social security number to search a record on this automated system.
PACER Service Center: This is the registration, billing and technical service center of the Federal Judiciary. Through this center, one can electronically access court records regarding bankruptcies from the appellate and districts in the US. One can also obtain a PACER account to find more information than is available through the voice system. It is important to note that the use of PACER entails a charge.
One can also find bankruptcy records online. There are a number of websites that list bankruptcy case files of all the US states. There are designated websites for business bankruptcy filings of various federal bankruptcy districts.

- If you intend to get the copy personally, schedule an appointment.
